The short version: what your loved one says belongs to them. It stays on the device.

What stays on your device (everything important)

All vocabulary, custom words, photos, voice recordings, messages, usage history, learned predictions, and settings are stored only on your own device. They are never uploaded to us. The app works fully offline. We have no accounts and no way to read what anyone says.

What we collect (anonymous, aggregate)

To understand whether the app helps people, we collect anonymous usage events — for example "a visitor opened the app," "onboarding was completed," "a demo button was tapped" — tied to a random identifier, never to a name, email, or message content. We use this only to count users, measure which features help, and improve the app. We never sell data, show ads inside the app, or share data with data brokers.

Optional AI features

If you enable online AI features, the words needed for that single request (for example, the tapped words to be turned into a sentence, or a topic name) are sent to our server, processed, and discarded. They are not stored or used to train anything. AI features are off by default and the app never requires them.

Children

The app is used by children under a caregiver's supervision. Because data stays on-device and we collect no personal information, we do not knowingly process any child's personal data.

Payments

If you purchase a Supporter plan, payment is processed by our payment provider; we never see your card details. Their privacy policy applies to the transaction.

Contact

Questions or deletion requests: contact us via the app's support channel or the address on the website. Since data lives on your device, deleting the app (or its browser data) deletes your data; use Settings → Back up first if you want to keep it.
